Looking for help with today's NYT Mini Crossword puzzle? Here are some hints and answers for the ... [+] puzzle.
In case you missed Monday’s NYT Mini Crossword puzzle, you can find the answers here:
We’ve left balmy late-autumn days behind us and traded them for rain, rain and more rain. Living in the high desert forest, you can never have too much of the stuff, but I admit I wasn’t quite ready for it and had planned to hike Monday afternoon. Plans were stymied, alas, but thank goodness for rain! But I digress. Let’s solve today’s Mini Crossword!
The NYT Mini is a smaller, quicker, more digestible, bite-sized version of the larger and more challenging NYT Crossword, and unlike its larger sibling, it’s free-to-play without a subscription to The New York Times. You can play it on the web or the app, though you’ll need the app to tackle the archive.
One good tactic with crossword puzzles is to try to get as many ACROSS as possible first and then you’ll find a lot of the DOWN are already done—or vice versa if the ones ACROSS are trickier.

Today's Mini Crossword
This one was pretty easy, not gonna lie. I got LOTUS and LIFE right away. Then FENCE and EAGLE, followed closely by UNCLE. At this point TANGO (which I had earlier suspected) was pretty obvious and of course I know what Buns of STEEL was. I wrapped this one up without having to fill in 6 or 9 Across at all. It took me 1:08 today to solve this one.
