This is a classic USA TODAY theme. The word START alerts solvers to pay attention to the beginnings of the theme answers. SLOW, the other word in the title, is used to form new phrases. This theme type is classic for a reason. There are a lot of possibilities for this type of theme, and it's interesting to see the new phrases that are created.
